Dr. Chris Smith specializes in sports, integrative, and anti-aging medicine He has more than 22 years of experience providing customized HRT hormone replacement therapy for his patients. He is a member of The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and stays abreast of the latest breakthroughs in the fields of endocrinology, medical technology, and longevity.
Dr. Smith developed an interest in anti-aging and longevity at an early age by witnessing the deterioration of his beloved grandmother due to several afflictions that struck simultaneously as a direct consequence of her advanced years.
The image and memories of a once vibrant woman gradually losing her mental sharpness, boundless energy, and zest for life left an impression on young Chris that made him determined to become a physician and attack the symptoms of aging with a vengeance.
The average person and even medical professionals often view slowing, halting, and reversing the aging process, and it’s cruel symptoms as a hopeless pipe-dream. Among his colleagues in the medical field he has heard comments like “aging, sickness, and death are just a natural part of life” or “the country would go bankrupt if everyone lived too long” or “the planet is already overpopulated” and other such negativity.
He responds that this is the same thought patterns that said we could never sail across the ocean, or travel to the moon, or transplant organs, or achieve virtually all of today’s inventions and conveniences that were once considered impossible.
They were wrong then, and as far as Dr. Smith is concerned, the “it will never happen” crowd is wrong now. And he is determined to prove them wrong.
Dr. Smith does not take a “one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter approach” with his patients. Instead, he treats each of them as individuals with unique sets of needs, not merely another chart or patient profile.
At his initial consultation, Dr. Smith has an in-depth discussion with each new patient. This discussion includes current lifestyle, nutritional habits, stress control, their current level of activity, and their fitness and exercise routine (if any).
Also, Dr. Smith understands the importance of genetics and uncovers the new patients family history, which informs him about the potential hereditary medical issues that might arise. This vital information has a heavy emphasis on the treatment regime he prescribes.
Dr. Smith also likes to engage in regular physical activity; he loves golf, swimming, power walking on the beach and chess.
